Gregory Maine retired from Abbott Laboratories after 30 years of service as an Associate Research Fellow and is currently a Fellow in the American Association of Clinical Chemistry. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. His research has spanned 42 years in the fields of serum lipoproteins, molecular biology and genetics, plasmid vector development and gene expression, congenital infectious disease diagnostics, and therapeutic drug monitoring of transplant patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy. He is the holder of 13 US patents and author of over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He was co-editor of the book Current Trends in Transplantation. Over the course of his scientific career, he has delivered 155 invited scientific lectures at customer and scientific symposia across 33 countries.
Maine became a Christian during his graduate studies at Cornell University through the ministry of the Faith Bible Church of Ithaca. He has taught and preached at various churches over the years and served as an elder at Lakeland Church in Gurnee, IL. Presently, he is Director of Relational Outreach at Faith Church of the Valley in Chandler, AZ. He and his wife Nancy have been married for 40 years, have two children and currently reside in Queen Creek, AZ.
